Bengaluru FC lacks options in the central defense. They got only one foreigner Juanan and one Indian Pratik Chaudhuri as their CB choices. So Fran Glez might play as a center back for Bengaluru this season. Though they have a lot of firepower in their right and left-back positions. They got players like Ajith Kumar, Rahul Bheke, Zoherlianaas their fullback option along with Naroem Rohen Singh as a u-22 option.

Midfield: A blend of Youth with Experience

Bengaluru FC mainly got a young midfield line with some experienced players. Players like Dimas Delgado will be the x-factor of their mid. If he can continue his previous season’s form Bengaluru forwards will get a lot of chances to score. Other than Dimas players like Eric Paartalu, Cleiton Silva, and Harmanjot Khabra is also there who can easily change the momentum of the match. The rest of the midfield is very young but talented.  Players like Leon Augustine, NamgyelBhutiawill operate in the midfield of Bengaluru.

There is no Indian who doesn’t know Sunil Chhetri. He is a legend in Indian football and one of the best forwards in Asia. He is the main man in the Bengaluru attack. Though age has blunted his skills still his presence in the dressing room is enough to inspire young players. He is a role model for every other Indian footballer. Bengaluru’s performance will depend on his form to some extent.

Edmund Lalrindika

Bengaluru got some attractive youth talents in their squad this season. Edmund Lalrindika is probably the best among them. He is a utility player who can play on either wing along with attacking mid and striker. He got maturity and tactical knowledge in this age along with skills and tactical knowledge. If he gets proper game time he can be one of the rising talents for Bengaluru.

Conclusion

Bengaluru will also compete in AFC Cups qualifier along with ISL this season. This can be a challenge for them to keep the players fresh for both the tournament. If they can do that they should finish in the top four of ISL and can compete for the title this season. They got the strength and consistency which is needed to win tournaments like ISL.
