UEFA Europa League Qualifications scenario
The winners of the FA Cup final 2020 get a direct entry into the
UEFA Europa League
group stage. If the FA Cup winners finish in top 5 of the Premier League then the UEL spot is acquired by the next highest-ranked team in the league table.
Since Chelsea has already qualified for next year’s
UEFA Champions League
so the UEL place would not be a matter of concern for them but certainly a win in the FA Cup final 2020 will be their only objective.
But the case with Arsenal is different as they finished 8th in the league and far behind from qualifying into the European competitions so Arteta’s men will be having an extra motivation to clinch the silverware in the FA cup final 2020 and qualify into next year’s UEL.
