With half of the Premier League season nearly over and the table has started to take shape, Fantasy Premier League managers will now be thinking of re-building their initial Fantasy Squads. The roster of players to choose from is huge, but with the 100 million budget, you will need to make your choices carefully. Amongst the roster, there are some individuals that have proved their capabilities in the previous seasons with stellar performances. This is a list of those players, it is a good idea to have a few of these as your marquee signings as your initial FPL players in your 2020-21 squads ahead of the double FPL Gameweek 19.
We are here with the Watchlist series ahead of double Gameweek 19 to identify some of the players that caught the eye over the last few gameweeks. Here are some of the players in our FPL Gameweek 19 Watchlist who are possible options to transfer into the Fantasy team over the coming game weeks.
Ruben Dias (Defender) 5.8 Million
Diaz has kept 2 clean sheets in his last three league outings to average 5.8 FPL points per game . The center back ranks top amongst teammates for both clearances and blocks in that time. Only Cancelo and Gundogan have been awarded more bonus points than his three. Man City have conceded just two goals over the last six gameweeks keeping two clean sheets no side has allowed opponents fewer shots on target over this period while only Fulham have conceded fewer big chances than their three. City enjoys a double gameweek 19 with back to back favorable fixtures with Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. Crystal Palace has scored just four goals over the same period and only Fulham and West Brom took fewer shots than the Eagles 39. Palace is also bottom for big chances. On the other hand, Aston Villa has scored eight goals over the last six gameweeks and are ranked third for big chances over that time.
Harvey Barnes (Midfielder) 6.8 Million
With 2 goals in his last four game weeks, Harvey Barnes has averaged 5 FPL points per game . His total of 12 shots can only be bettered by Rashford, Neves, Elgazi, and Fernandes amongst midfielders. No teammate can better his three efforts on target or his 0.77 non-penalty expected goals figure. Leicester has scored seven goals over the last six game weeks taking 67 shots and creating seven big chances . Leicester enjoys a mixed double gameweek 19 with Chelsea and Southampton as their opponents. Chelsea has shipped nine goals over the same period keeping just one clean sheet only Wolves, Leeds, Newcastle, Palace, and West Brom have conceded more. Only five teams have allowed opponents more big chances than Chelsea. Southampton has conceded two goals over the last six game weeks keeping three clean sheets they allowed opponents 55 shots and 6 big chances over this period.
Mohammed Salah (Midfielder) 12.5 Million
Salah has amassed just 2 goals and 1 assists in his last four game weeks failing to score in each of his last three but only Elgazi and Fernandes have had more big chances than his four in that time. Amongst FPL midfielders, only Rashford, and Mane can better his 31 touches in the opposition’s box . Liverpool has scored 10 goals over the last six gameweeks. Only Leeds and Man United have scored more their total of 76 shots is bettered only by Leeds, Villa, and Man United. Man United have conceded seven goals over the last six gameweeks keeping just two clean sheets only Newcastle and West Brom have allowed opponents more shots than their 74. The Reds start their double gameweek with a vital top of the table clash with Manchester United followed by facing Burnley at home. Burnley has conceded three goals over the same period keeping two clean sheets they’ve allowed opponents 73 shots. Only Leeds, Man United, Newcastle, and West Brom have fared worse.
Kevin De Bruyne (Midfielder) 11.8 Million
De Bruyn has amassed 1 goal and two assists across the last five game weeks to average 7 points per game despite playing fewer games than most midfielders over that period his tally of three big chances can only be bettered by Salah, Fernandes, and Elgazi. Only Grealish has created more big chances than his three. Man City has scored seven goals over the last six gameweeks and their total of 18 big chances is bettered only by Man United. Their first double gameweek opponent Crystal Palace has conceded 12 goals over the aforementioned period only West Brom have been more porous. only Leeds, West Brom, and Newcastle have allowed opponents more big chances than the Eagles 15. Aston Villa has considered just three goals over the last six gameweeks but only Spurs, Newcastle Leeds in West Brom have allowed opponents more shots on target.
Michail Antonio (Forward) 6.2 Million
Having now returned to fitness Antonio will be looking to build on the 3 goals he scored in the opening six game weeks of the season. The 30-year-old landed 9 shots on target in that time to rank behind only Bamford, Ivan Cavaleiro, and Kane amongst FPL forwards. He ranks 5th for shots in the box and 7th for total shots West Ham have scored 4 goals over the last 6 game weeks taking 45 shots and creating six big chances. West Brom has conceded 14 goals over the same period keeping no clean sheets they’re also bottom for shots and shots on target conceded. Burnley has allowed opponents 46 shots in the box only Leeds, Man United, Newcastle, and West Brom have been more generous.
