Amongst the roster, there are some individuals that have proved their capabilities in the previous seasons with stellar performances. Here is a list of players who are a good idea to have as your marquee signings as your FPL players in your 2020-21 squads ahead of the FPL Gameweek 26.
We are here with the Watchlist series ahead of Double Gameweek 26 to identify some of the players that caught the eye over the last few gameweeks. Here are some of the players in our FPL Gameweek 26 Watchlist who are possible options to transfer into the Fantasy team over the coming game weeks.
D. Calvert-Lewin [ Forward ] 7.6 Million
After a short spell on the sidelines, Calvert made his return at Anfield where he came off the bench to win a late penalty for Everton . The incident came shortly after Richarlison had played in his strike partner for a big chance that was saved by Allison. Despite only making three appearances in the last four gameweeks no fpl forward has earned more points in that time than the Englishman. Only Mbaye Diagne has had more big chances than his four while only Josh Maja and Diagne compared to his 2.06 expected goals figure. Everton has scored eight goals in their last six matches just five teams have managed more. The Saints have shipped league-high totals of 19 goals and 17 big chances in the same time frame. West Brom has conceded 12 goals in their last six matches only crystal palace and southampton have fared worse.
O. Watkins [ Forward ] 6.5 Million
Aston Villa slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Leicester where Watkins was restricted to just one shot no player from either side had as many as his six touches in the opposition’s penalty box, however. Over the last six-game weeks no fpl forward has taken as many shots in total from inside the box or on targets. The injury to Jack greenish will obviously be a big miss and it looks like Villa could be without their talisman for up to a month but their upcoming fixtures are fairly kind they have a confirmed double gameweek 26 and could have an additional double game at 28. If their home meeting with Everton is rescheduled that week and Sheffield United has each conceded seven goals in the last four matches. Only four teams have fared worse. The blades have allowed opponents 11 big chances in that time with only Southampton and Liverpool conceding more.
R. Dias [ Defender ] 6.1 Million
Manchester City kept their 15th clean sheets of the season in a professional one-nil win over the Arsenal . They restricted the gunners to just one effort on target and didn’t concede a single big chance. No side has considered fewer big chances than their two over the last six matches where only Brighton has kept more than their four clean sheets. There has been some rotation between the center-backs but Dias has only missed one premier league match since making his debut and that was shortly after recovering from a fever. The league leaders now have back-to-back double gaming on the horizon. Their midweek champions league match could offer some insight into how Guardiola intends to manage the minutes of his players in double gameweek 26. If R. Sterling features from the off on Wednesday it would be a seventh consecutive start in all competitions and an idea to sell him and bring in Dias would be tempting.
E. Dier [ Defender ] 4.9 Million
After having a bad spell Spurs have now a comparatively suitable fixture up next for almost the end of the season. They will only face strong opponents only twice in the remaining 14 matches. In addition, they have double gameweek 26 and they will also feature in mini gameweek 29. This mini gameweek 29 is going to help managers who will have featuring players of that gameweek over other managers who don’t. In the remaining 14 matches, Spurs will face Burnley, Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Sheffield Utd. which shows a good chance of bagging clean sheets for the Spurs defenders.
