The roster of players to choose from is huge, but with the 100 million budget, you will need to make your choices carefully. Amongst the roster, there are some individuals that have proved their capabilities in the previous seasons with stellar performances. This is a list of those players, it is a good idea to have a few of these as your marquee signings as your initial FPL attackers in your 2020-21 squads.
Who are the best Fantasy Premier League forwards? How to pick attackers in fantasy football? This is not an easy question. There are plenty of potential forwards out there, who look equally good options. To save you from this hassle we have set out a list o six FPL attackers with high attacking potential and goal threats for the upcoming season.
Midfielders
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Midfielder) – 12 Million
This Gabonese talisman was a strong contender for the PL 19/20 Golden Boot , coming joint second with Danny Ings after missing out on the win by 1 goal. Aubameyang put in great performances all season and was the star player in the entire Arsenal squad. This deadly striker is expected to continue his excellent form throughout the coming PL season. Listed as a midfielder from striker this season, he can be vital in racking up those extra points for being a midfielder.
Although expensive, It is recommended to have Aubameyang somewhere in your starting 11 for your FPL 2020-21 squads as you can expect consistent performances from this player. No Arsenal teammate had more than his 152 touches inside the opposition’s box last season. With the opening two weeks seeing Fulham and West Ham as opponents, Auba should have no problems in starting where he finished off last season. Also with the two Manchester clubs without a fixture in the opening weekend, he will be highly sought after.
Heung-Min Son (Midfielder) – 9 Million
Heung min-Son has looked lively for the Spurs in the preseason. the 9 million price tag is also useful as a placeholder for a Chelsea midfielder who might be something to look out for from Gameweek 4 .
He is proving to be a popular week among the Fantasy managers with Spurs having a favourable run of opening fixtures. With Everton, Southampton, and Newcastle in the first three-game weeks, Son can rank up high fantasy points and favour his owners for the FPL 20-21 season.
Mohamed Salah (Midfielder) – 12 Million
Mohammed Salah is a fairly easy pick to begin the season with Bruno Fernandes and Kevin de Bruyne without a fixture in game week 1. The Liverpool winger will be a strong contender for the armband for the opening weekend when the Reds host newly-promoted Leeds. He is regarded by some as one of the best wingers in the world as of now which makes him an obvious addition to this list.
Although one of the most expensive players in the entire roster, he will surely give you a large number of points consistently. He is a definite marquee signing for this Fantasy Premier League season. Speaking of the Egyptian, Mo Salah easily earns a place in any FPL 2020-21 squads. With the newly promoted Leeds travelling to Anfield on game week 1, no teams are projected to score more goals this season with the current champions again heavy favourites this season
Forwards
Danny Ings (Forward) – 8.5 Million
A surprise contender for the PL golden boot last season was Danny Ings. Southampton forward has an eye for goal as he netted 22 times in the PL, joint second highest along with Aubameyang. This was quite a surprise to see, and considering his price tag, this is a relatively good value attacker to have in your team. Maybe he will compete for the Golden Boot again, if so, you should expect a good amount of points from his side.
Danny Ings was one of the standout attackers last season and had stayed consistent right until the end. Only Martial and Antonio had racked up more points until the end amongst forwards. Fixtures against Burnley, Crystal Palace, and West Brom in the opening four weeks can help get him off to a flying start again. We strongly recommend keeping Ings as a budget forward in your FPL 2020-21 lineups.
Aleksander Mitrovic (Forward) – 6 Million
Generously priced at 6 million, after finishing as the 2019-20 EFL Championship top scorer. Fulham’s opening run of fixtures is fairly kind with Sheffield United being the only high rated than three in the fixture difficulty ratings. across the first nine gameweeks.
Currently, the second-highest owned forward only behind Timo Werner , Mitrovic promises to continue his run from league 26 goals last season. On with penalty duties as well, the 25-year-old converted our out of five strikes from the spot. Whilst there is always a concern about how a promoted player will fare in the top flight, Mitrovic already has over 20 premier league goals to his name from previous seasons.
Timo Werner (Forward) – 9.5 Million
Currently sitting in over at 47% of teams, the German was directly involved at 36 goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances last season. Only Robert Lewandowski had a better return than him last season. Chelsea’s new-look attackers have a high goal threat and expectancy in the first four gameweeks.
Primarily playing through the middle as a centre forward, his tally of 99 shots in the box speaks for itself. He was the also the second in the list of assist providers among RB Leipzig teammates and had seven goals and one assist in nine games since the restart and continued that form with a goal in his friendly Chelsea debut against Brighton.
