After some speculations and reports finally Blaise Matuidi to Inter Miami is official. The Frenchman will leave Juventus this summer to join David Beckham’s side in the MLS. The Italian giants have confirmed this on their official website as well as on social media.
What went wrong?
Matuidi joined Juventus 3years ago from PSG. Juventus paid around 23million pounds to the French club as per the deal. Matuidi started his career at Juventus in a good manner and played quite well. He won his first Serie A title at his first season with the club. He also won the Coppa Italia that season. Matuidi won another two league title and also the Italian Supercopa once. Matuidi also won the FIFA World cup in 2018. But from then his performance has dropped. He has not played well and criticized many times by the fans this season. Though Former Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri praised Matuidi for his work-load and commitment, he has not been at his best.
Matuidi’s career at a glance
Blaise Matuidi has played around 133 matches for Juventus and except for Paulo Dybala (134), no player has made more appearances across all competitions than him. He scored 8 times, also provided 7 assists. He has won 3 Serie A, 1 Coppa Italia, 1 Italian Supercopa with Juventus.
Matuidi has started 295 matches for French side Paris-Saint-Germain. He scored 33 goals,28 assists for the French side. He won 5 French league titles, 4 French league cup, 3 French cups and 5 French super cups. He was also declared as France Footballer Of The Year in 2015.
Matuidi made his debut for the France senior team on 7th September 2010 against Norway in an international friendly. He played 84 matches for France, scored 9 goals, provided 10 assists. He has also won FIFA World Cup 2018 with France. National Team manager Didier Deschamps praised Matuidi for his top form and work-rate for the national team.

Matuidi plays as a central midfielder but can also play as a defensive midfielder. He can take huge work-load. He also has good passing ability and physicality. But his recent drop in form is a concern for the Juventus managemnet and the fans. New Juventus Manager Andrea Pirlo is also not sure about his future in this team. So he allowed the Matuidi to Inter Miami deal.
Some other Juve players on their way as well?
After the news Matuidi to inter Miami is official some other rumours are coming that some other players including Gonzalo Higuain, Federico Bernardeschi and also Sami Khedira will leave the club this summer. Reporter Fabrizio Romano has reported too that Gonzalo Higuain may leave Juventus.
