Real Madrid vs Mallorca match preview: Madrid looking to put pressure back on Barca
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Real Madrid CF will face Mallorca in their home on Wednesday 8 pm GMT. Here is our exclusive Real Madrid vs Mallorca match preview.

Overview

Real Madrid is currently standing second in La Liga with 3 points behind Barcelona and playing one match less. They will play against Mallorca who currently is fighting relegation in Alfredo De Stefano stadium. Madrid haven’t lost a single match since return of La Liga and are clear favourites for this match. There forwards are back in form and are scoring goals frequently.

Their bench strength and flexibility to change the first 11 give them the X factor. Asensio also comes back after a long injury period and he is in great form. Other forwards like Hazard, Benzema, Vinicius are also providing their services for the team. The midfield of Kroos, Modric, Valverde and Casemiro is also providing great support in both attack and defence. Defence seems a bit shaky as both Ramos and Varane sometimes get out of position but that shouldn’t hold Madrid back to secure three points.

The biggest threat for Madrid is their own lad Takefusa Kubo who is on loan to Mallorca. The 19-year-old is showing great potential at Mallorca. The visitors will look upon him to create chances for forwards. Their top goal scorer Ante Budimir will be another key man for Mallorca. Though he had failed to score since La Liga return and will be eager to end his goal drought. Mallorca have secured just 1 point from their last 3 games and is threatening relegation. They will require atleast 1 point from this tough fixture.

Team News

Our Real Madrid vs Mallorca match preview contains predicted line-ups as well. It is hard to guess Zidane’s first 11 because of his constant rotations.
Real Madrid will miss Casemiro because of his accumulation of yellow cards. So the midfield trio can be Modric, Kroos and Valverde. Hazard can start in the forward line with Benzema and Rodrygo. Mendy can play in defence instead of Marcelo. The rest remains unchanged.

Predicted lineups

Real Madrid (4-3-3)
