Tottenham vs West Ham Match Preview: A not so tempting London Derby?

Overview

Tottenham looking forward to the London Derby against West Ham United on Tuesday night(20:00 GMT) trying to stay in the top four race and Champions League football next season. Here’s our exclusive Tottenham vs West Ham match preview for you.

Mourinho’s boys are currently running a four-match winless streak and looking forward to end that. With Bergwijn, Heung-Min Son, and Harry Kane back in the side the White Lillies get a cutting edge in the final third which was lacking before the coronavirus pandemic pause. Meanwhile, the Hammers are fighting to avoid relegation. They are currently placed at the 17th position with 27 points. Moyes’ boys will be facing two back to back tough fixtures vs Tottenham(A) and the latter one against Chelsea(H). Their recent form is a matter of concern for David Moyes as they faced four defeats in the last five matches.

In Tottenham’s last home match against Manchester United, a late equalizer from Bruno Fernandes spoiled their party and had to be satisfied with a draw. Though VAR saved Tottenham from getting United another penalty in the injury time. After suffering two and a half months of hamstring injury Kane made a comeback in this match but looked sluggish and off the pace.

On the other hand, West Ham faced a 2-0 defeat against Wolves at home with a very poor display football allowing Wolves to capitalize on the match from the very beginning.

Team News

Our Tottenham vs West Ham match preview also includes the predicted lineups of both teams.

Tottenham

With a great counter-attacking football against Manchester United, Mourinho would like to keep the same squad against the Hammers.Still, some changes may be made. Although Dele Alli is back serving a match suspension and may break into the squad. Toby Alderweild may also make a comeback replacing Eric Dier. Moura is still a doubt.

Starting Lineup

Formation: 4-2-3-1

West Ham

Ryan Fredricks can be brought in place of Jeremy Ngakia at right back. Following Michael Antonio’s injury record and a full match display against Wolves, he might not be risked to play twice in a span of 3 days.
