After so many speculations finally, it is official that Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez joins Inter Milan permanently after spending a season there as a loanee from Manchester United . Inter and Manchester United both were working on this deal for somedays and finally, they have reached an agreement. The Clubs have confirmed it on their official website as well as social media.
Sanchez joins Inter: Contract details
Earlier, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Sanchez is going to join Inter for a wage of 7 Million euros per year, which is not so low. Inter will not pay any fee to Manchester United regarding this deal.
Why United didn’t hold on to him?
Manchester United had sent Alexis Sanchez out of loan to Inter last season for one season. Sanchez has not done too much in the United shirt, as everybody had huge expectations regarding him. But going to Inter actually changed him quite a bit and he has played quite well for them. He has played 29 matches for Inter, scored 4times, and provided 10 assists . He has actually provided the same no. of assist as Lionel Messi himself after the restart (7). He has fit quite well with Conte’s flexible tactics and Inter fans can hope for good performances in the near future from him. However, he has to get rid of his injury concerns.
Inter manager Antonio Conte didn’t hide his concerns about Sanchez’s old form in England but still, he told that Sanchez has the capability to bring quality to the squad.
“We signed Alexis Sanchez to bring quality to the side. He’s not the same player I witnessed in England but he’s on the right path. He came on with the right attitude and I saw him work very hard.”

Relief for United?
Manchester United bought Alexis Sanchez on a swap deal from Arsenal on the exchange of Henrikh Mkhitaryan. He was also given the iconic number 7 jersey of Manchester United and also a record £450,000 per week contract. He was expected to perform brilliantly regarding his quality. But the results were absolutely different. Sanchez has done worst in his Manchester United career. He was injured for a long time.
The biggest problem was the wage, which was paid weekly and week though he didn’t give almost anything as a Manchester United player. He played just 45 matches for Manchester United, scored 5goals, and provided just 9 assists . United are always keen to sell him as they wanted to get rid off from that mountain like fee. Finally, they have managed to do so and according to an Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio Manchester United can save huge money still by just not paying the wage of Alexis Sanchez as the deal is going to be free for Inter.
Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho told before that Sanchez was unhappy at Manchester United and that reflected in his performance. Mourinho himself was very much surprised and unhappy after seeing such performance from a quality player like Sanchez, He added. Mourinho also criticized himself as a reason for this.
“Sanchez… I felt him [to be] not a happy man.And I think in every job you have when you are not happy it is not so easy to perform at every level. And maybe I am wrong.Maybe it was me who was not capable to get into him and to get the best out of him.As a manager sometimes you have the capacity to get the best out of the players and other times you are not successful in that approach. But I always felt he was unhappy here.So probably in Italy he will recover this. I hope he can. I always wish well to every player.”

Current Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also made concerns regarding Sanchez’s future at Old Trafford , but he told that Sanchez can come to his old form.
“As a club we cannot carry players.Everyone has to take ownership, keep improving, show that hunger that you want to get better individually and as a team.Of course it is a difficult window. It always has been. The clubs don’t want to lose their best players.Alexis will come back in the summer and prove you all wrong,”

But unfortunately Sanchez is not coming back at England to prove everyone “ wrong ” here.
Inter have finished 2nd in Serie A with 82 points, just 1 point behind Champions Juventus . On the other hand, Manchester United have finished 3rd in Premier League and secured Champions League football next season with 66 points.
