Also, one of the most sought-after young centre-back of the world, Tanguy Kouassi was made official by the Bavarians from PSG until 2024. Former FC Schalke 04 goalkeeper Alexander Nubel completed his medical to Bayern Munich on June 30 on a free transfer for a 5-year-deal .
Sane to Bayern: The Whole Episode
Bayern Munich has been pursuing German international Leroy Sane from 2019. The club’s longing to sign the best German players over the globe is known to all. Thus, it was of no surprise that Bayern would be hell-bent on signing Sane who is arguably the best left-winger of the country . Leroy Sane was aware of the desire of Bayern for a long time. He decided to wait to fight for Pep Guardiola ‘s first team but luck didn’t favour him at all. Guardiola had far too many options and turned to Sane rarely. Sane was looking for a starting spot in a top European team.
For months, the German winger has looked destined to join the Bavarians and that’s now been confirmed for a fee worth less than €60 million. Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich was reportedly finalized at the beginning of August 2019. Sane, who would have become Bayern’s latest record transfer, was placed in the Manchester City starting XI against
Liverpool
in the
FA Community Shield
. In the shocking turn of events, Sane was forced to be subbed off in the 10th minute after suffering an
ACL
injury.
Sane has barely played football for almost one year. He has just played 1 match for Manchester City U23 team against Arsenal U23 team in Premier League 2. He made his first appearance in Premier League this season in the match against Burnley where he was subbed in for just last 11 minutes of the game, the match which Manchester City won 5-0.
Sane
won’t
be able to participate in Bayern Munich’s
Champions League campaign
for the rest of this season, where they are one of the favourites to win this time. Bayern Munich recently ended the
Bundesliga
campaign with another league title- their
8th
consecutive League title. They created havoc in the league by scoring massive
100 goals
and acclaiming
82 points
whereas the 2nd-placed Borussia Dortmund could manage only 69 points. This was mainly due to the devastating trio of
Lewandowski- Muller- Gnabry
.
We can’t wait to see the quartet next season which will include
Sane
, which will undoubtedly be the most formidable attacking quartet of Europe next season as the Bavarians want to go all out for Champions League next season. The move of Sane to Bayern will create a panic among top European teams.
Leroy Sane is a pacy winger, who likes to dribble past opponent defenders with his devastating speed and cut inside to find the net and be lethal in the box. Apart from dribbling , he possesses exquisite ball control and extraordinary to take on defenders and find the odd man lurking in the box. He produced massive 67 goals+ assists in 96 games over the last 2 seasons before his injury for Manchester City, thus making him one of the best young prospects in Europe.
Sane had arrived at City from FC Schalke 04 in 2016 and has won 2 Premier League titles, 2 League Cups and 1 FA Cup with the Manchester club. He has been an able team player for Pep Guardiola and would find no problem in superposing into Hansi Flick’s system.
