Barcelona will pay around €23 Million (including add-ons) to Ajax for bringing Sergino Dest to Barcelona. Dest will sign a contract to stay at the club until June 2025. As Sergino Dest joins Barcelona let’s focus on his career. Dest started his career from Ajax Academy . He started to play as a left-back . Day by day he was improving in Amsterdam. He impressed the academy management very much with his defensive awareness and tackling ability. After 4 years of staying at Ajax academy he joined the Ajax U-17 team on season 2016/17. Then gradually he got a promotion to the senior teams.
He joined Ajax U-19 and U-21 team just after two years of joining the U-17 team. Though he started as left-back, he established himself as a r ight-back . Last season he got the chance to play for Ajax Senior team. He amazed everybody there and became the regular right-back for Ajax. He also won the Dutch Super Cup for Ajax. Sergino Dest also won 3 Academy silverwares. He played 38 matches for Ajax, scores 2 goals, and provided 6 assists. He is surely a player to watch for the future.
