With half of the Premier League season nearly over and the table has started to take shape, Fantasy Premier League managers will now be thinking of re-building their initial Fantasy Squads ahead of FPL Gameweek 17. The roster of players to choose from is huge, but with the 100 million budget, you will need to make your choices carefully. Amongst the roster, there are some individuals that have proved their capabilities in the previous seasons with stellar performances. This is a list of those players, it is a good idea to have a few of these as your marquee signings as your FPL players in your 2020-21 squads ahead of the FPL Gameweek 17.
We are here with the Watchlist series ahead of Gameweek 17 to identify some of the players that caught the eye over the last weekend. Here are some of the players in our FPL Gameweek 17 Watchlist who are possible options to transfer into the Fantasy team over the coming game weeks.
Andy Robertson (Defender) 7.3 million
No Defender has amassed more assists than Robertson over the last six game weeks while only Justin has created more chances than the scots 12 and no defender has made more successful passes in the opponent’s half than the 26-year-old over that period Liverpool have considered just three goals over the last six game weeks only Everton Man City and Aston Villa have conceded fewer and no team allowed opponents fewer shots in the box than the Champions. Southampton has scored just six goals in as many game weeks and is ranked 13th for shots in the box and 14th for shots on target over that period.
Dominic Calvert Lewin (Forward) 7.9 million
Calvin Lewin has scored just 1 goal over the last six game weeks but his underlying numbers have been promising. His total of 6 shots on target is bettered only by Chris Wood, Benteke, Firmino, and Bamford while only Wood has been afforded more big chances than his 6 amongst forwards. Everton has scored 7 goals over the last six game weeks only seven teams have scored more they’ve landed 21 shots on target and created 9 big chances over those matches. West ham has conceded six goals over the last six game weeks only Sheffield United Leeds Crystal Palace and West Brom have been more porous only three teams have allowed opponents more big chances than the Hammers 15.
Wilfried Zaha (Midfielder) 7.4 million
Zaha’s total of 3 goals over the last six game weeks is beaten only by Salah Rashford and El Ghazi amongst midfielders while only Sadio Mane has taken more shots in the box than his 14 . Crystal Palace has scored 8 goals over the aforementioned period only Chelsea, Leicester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Man United have found the back of the net more often. The Eagles are ranked ninth for shots on target over that period. Sheffield United has conceded 11 goals over the last six game weeks keeping no clean sheets only Leeds Crystal Palace and West Brom have shipped more goals than the blades over that time. While only Leeds have allowed opponents more big chances than their 22.
Bruno Fernandes (Midfielder) 11.1 million
Bruno Fernandes has scored 3 goals over the last six game weeks with only Salah Rashford and El Ghazi have been more prolific amongst midfielders. Only Rafinha Rashford and El Ghazi have taken more shots than his 16 while only Grealish has created more chances than his 20. Only De Bruyne has created more big chances than the Portuguese Man United have scored 15 goals over the last six game weeks. No side has scored more their total of 87 shots is better only by Leeds, Aston Villa, and Chelsea. While no side has landed more shots on target than their 37, Aston Villa has conceded just 1 goal over the last six game weeks but only eight sides have allowed opponents more shots on target than their 23.
Harry Kane (Forward) 11.0 million
Only six forwards have scored more goals than Kane over the last six game weeks while only Vardy Benteke Watkins and Bamford have taken more shots than his 16 . His total of 6 shots on target is bettered only by Wood Benteke Firmino and Bamford . Spurs have scored 5 goals over the last six game weeks taking 41 shots and creating 7 big chances . Leeds have conceded 13 goals over the same period with only Crystal Palace and West Brom faring worse. No team has conceded more shots in the box or big chances than Leeds.
