The Premier League 2019/20 campaign came to a stunning end after a dramatic Gameweek 38, with the fate of the European and relegation spots being decided on the final day. The league was restarted from June after it was withheld due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Every match has been played in empty stadiums since then which was conducted and completed successfully. The Premier League also confirmed the new season will start from 12th September 2020 and will end on 23rd May 2021.

Premier League Gameweek 38+ attracted viewers because of two reasons. There was unfinished business around the European qualification spots and the relegation battle . Finally, after some nail-biting encounters, everything is clear right now. The Premier League has never seen a nail-biting finish like this for the European spots and teams battling out to survive in the top flight on the last day of the season.
Premier League 2019/20: The Champions
The Championship battle for this season’s Premier League was a product of utter dominance and desire. It was none other than Liverpool Football Club who finally cliched their 19 th league title after 30 long years. Liverpool confirmed their Premier League title on Gameweek 32 + after the restart. Liverpool has clinched a total of 99 points this season and lost just 3 matches in the league this season. They have won a record of 32 matches and was unbeaten at Anfield this season.
They have also won a record of 18 home matches which they share along with Manchester United and Manchester City who have achieved this before. They have managed to win 30 matches in a single league season fastest than anybody else ever. They have made another record of clinching the Premier League title faster than any team in the history, confirming the title before 7 matches. They have broken the record of Manchester United in 2001/02 and Manchester City in 2017/18 who confirmed the league title before the last five matches.

were fighting for the remaining two Champions League spots after it was cleared that

Premier League 2019/20: The outgoers and the newcomers
Premier League’s relegation battle also finished dramatically. Norwich City FC was relegated earlier and there were two spots remaining in the red zone. Aston Villa , Bournemouth and Watford were battling for survival. But it was Aston Villa who finally became successful to stay in the top flight of English Football. Unfortunately, Bournemouth and Aston Villa were relegated to the EFL Championship next season along with Norwich City. But it was the moment of joy for the clubs who have clinched top spots in EFL championship to enter in next season’s Premier League. Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion will play in Premier League next season after becoming the champions and runners of this season’s EFL respectively. Still, a spot is remaining which will be decided by a play-off between Brentford , Fulham , Cardiff City and Swansea who are in the 3rd , 4th , 5th , 6th respectively.
Premier League 2019/20: The Awards
Premier league’s awarded the Golden Boot , the Golden Glove and the Playmaker award. The Player of the year and the Manager of the year award is yet to be decided.
The Golden Boot
From the starting day, the battle to get the top scorer award of Premier league was heating up. Jamie Vardy of Leicester City started his campaign brilliantly scoring back to back goals. Southampton’s Danny Ings and Arsenal’s Piere Emerick Aubameyang was constantly performing well. Also, Liverpool’s Mo. Salah and Sadio Mane were coping up with them. But Finally, It was Jamie Vardy who secured his first-ever Golden boot , even though he missed the season for some time due to injuries and the birth of a baby boy. Vardy scored 23 goals this season which is one more than the second-placed Ings and Aubameyang. He is the oldest player to win the Golden boot ever.

It was Manchester City’s Ederson Moraes who secured his first-ever Golden Glove in Premier League after going neck to neck constantly with Pope, Allison and Dean Henderson. Ederson has kept 16 clean-sheets which is one more than the second-placed Nick Pope.

Premier League’s 2019/20 was a season to remember for the youngsters. Many young players have come out this season from the academies and showed a lot of promise. Tammy Abraham , Reece James , Billy Gilmour , Mason Mount are the names which Chelsea has produced this season and performed very well under Lampard.

The Premier League 2020/21 season will start within 48 days . Fans can hope their team to do great in the upcoming season, by resolving the mistakes from this season. Everybody expects another mouthwatering season from all the English clubs, we can’t wait for the EPL to return!
